The executive would like to thank everyone who attended the AGM with a special thanks to the volunteers.
On a new note Watersheds Canada received the permits at the end of July for the Fish Habitat Restoration project for the 2 locations on Sharbot Lake. We will be working on the locations hopefully this September. Please let Joyce Waller know if you are available to volunteer.
We had a presentation from Terry Rees, FOCA Executive Director to discuss what FOCA is and what it does for all of us. After the presentation the membership voted to re-join FOCA. His presentation is attached to this posting (FOCA Sharbot Lake AGM presentation July 2017).
We also had a presentation from Eric Kohlsmith, Septic Inspector from the Mississippi Rideau Septic Systems Office discussing the various systems and what he has seen through inspections. His presentation is attached to this posting. (Sharbot Lake 2017)
At the AGM we also heard form the Deputy Mayor, Brent Cameron and Victor Heese, Councillor District 2 (on the Septic Inspection Committee).
Please note that there are two open houses to discuss the Mandatory Septic Inspection Program.
