It has become obvious that Sharbot Lake is being inundated
with the invasive Eurasian Water-Milfoil (EWM). One only needs to look east
from the causeway into the East Basin to see the impact it is having on our
lake.
Attached is an info sheet describing how to identify it and how to properly and
safely remove it from your waterfront.
Most important is to ensure you reduce its spread as much as possible. The
smallest piece of EWM can regenerate as a new plant. This means that if you
drive your boat through it, you will release hundreds of pieces of EWM that can
drift into other areas and create new plants. Please, stay away from EWM areas
where possible.
