Recently SLPOA was notified by a permanent resident that the council is reviewing the consideration of cancelling the Amnesty Load that property owner's with an inhabited dwelling where allowed to take advantage of. The condition and time frames of the Amnesty are usually mentioned in your tax bill. If you are a person who has taken advantage and/or plan to in the future then you need to reach out to council otherwise it may be cancelled for 2015 and the following years. There have been some articles in the Frontenac News over the last couple of weeks and now council placed an ad to ask for feedback on this topic.
